I hate cleaning and infact the bathroom is something that really isnt something i look forward to. Why, because I have to get the cleaning product and clean everything and it takes time. I was looking for something that made it easier. The adverts on tv tell us to use this product and that product to make life easier. We buy them and its still not easy. There is still scum and scale everywhere.

Are you using lots of washing product and still not getting washing clean. We were, now we wash at 30 deg and the washing comes out cleaner and those stains are gone.Have you replaced your kettle because its just full of scale? Since ours was installed in April 2011 even the tea tastes different nowWhat about the shower head? are you always taking it apart and cleaning and spending time with something to try and remove the scale. I was!

What else do you need? Well assurance that if you spend your money that there is a gaurentee that this thing works. That’s what I wanted.

That’s a tough one, but the manufacturer and ( I, Ian Gray) will give you your money back if you are not completely happy with the device within 6 Months.

How does it work then? What is a kiss?

I know what your next question. How does it work? Well the answer is, I dont really know but from a technical view basically it ionises the water and makes it so that is doesn’t stick. Let me ask you a question. What is a kiss? well from a scientific view point its……… from a physical point of view its…….. At the end of the day just go and do it and experience it then you’ll know.

On any part of the mains water pipe literally. Usually so it can plugged in near the diswasher or washing machine

gut feeling

A friend and colleague decided to stop working for himself last week because he wanted a gaurenteed income from a company and work every day plus he wanted to see his family and being self employed was proving more difficult for him during the last fews months. So he contacted his old friend who offered him a job with his firm.

I discouraged him because I know that he was very good at air con and refrigeration but just needed direction and a stratergy. He decided not to take my advice.

Within 7 days of working with the new company he called me to say that he had made a mistake and that he was so unhappy with the way the company was operating and the working ethos that he was thinking or rethinking. A day later he called to say that he had quit and was starting back on his own. He knew that he had to make his own mind up and go through with what he had done and find out for himself abd hus gut feeling was right.

Go with your gut and talk to people of know you and your business and what you are like and make decisions based on what you really know and not a fear.

Same old same old.

spoke to a lady today who saw someone they met and recognised them. They replied that they werent going to more networking events at the same place because you meet the same people.

Well my oppinion thats a good thing seeing the same faces, getting to know them making good relationships. Then they get to know nore of what you do and that very good. Keep going invite others but keep going to the ones that suit your style of networking.

it far cheaper to run than your conventional heating systems if fact a quarter of the price.

it is very safe to use and doesnt burn fingers when you touch it.

it is very very quiet and will not annoy neighbours

I met someone on Friday and helped them with their business by putting them in touch with one of my clients so they could offer their services
That’s how networking works
Don’t sell you business to try and get work from the people in the room that very rarely happens but it does sometimes as it did for me the other day
People always know someone you may be able to help
Don’t feel you have to though if you don’t want
If you don’t like them then you may not want to get them leads
Follow up with a call and keep in touch
You business comes first and your income so don’t give money away to network groups that charge lots of money with amazing promises there are lots of good free groups but do do do network
We are in a very strange place at the moment and the government are lost as to what to do and the private sector is the way out of this so it’s up to us to make the way forward

networking your self

You want to start networking and you have never been. Start by looking at the ones that don’t cost anything, then the ones which only cost when you get there. Go to the formal ones and go to the informal ones as guests on their guest days. try them all out. You don’t have to sepnd too much money just your time.

You will meet business coaches, NLP coached, life coaches etc. You will meet people you do like and people you don’t like.

Be yourself and ask for help. Use twitter and facebook and Linkedin.

Dont spend too much money on these things.

Your businesss is the most important so remember you are not there to sell anything, you are there to make contacts.

This guy just did my web site this is his story.

Well the last event I attended for the UK Skills was the Squad Selection in the beginning of november, followed by a Squad Celebration in the House of Commons on the 24th November for Squad UK members.

In the Squad selection, for the skill of web design there were two competitors, myself and a guy from Scotland. We had 3 days (17 hours) to complete a brief that was used for Web Design in the World finals in 2007, which was held in Japan. This website needed to include a fully functional Content Management System and an animation. Needless to say I managed to get high enough marks (Marks which were higher than the other competitor by about 16 (Marks were out of 100, I got 89.09)) to secure my place in the Squad UK. The other guy did it too, so now it is a competition between me and him to get the 1 place for Web Design in the Team UK, and represent the UK in the world finals in October, 2011 in London.

Take a step backwards

Often we are too involved in what we are doing to actually see what is going on and the bigger picture is.

Taking a step back wards is the best way of seeing the whole picture. Over the break I have just had to stop every thing and concentrate on the family. Not thinking about the business. Putting into perspective the most important things in life. A strange thing happened and may be a life changing thing happened.

As we are told that this year there are going to be cuts to alot of things let put in to perspective what that actually means. Money but not time, More time may be to give to the important things, people. Time is the key and we are all have the same amount. 24 hours in the day they can nnot touch that. The question is how we use it. Have a plan for the day and as I write this I am the worst for not planning.

So to summarise my small rant to myself. Give time to people that matter the most.
